My bose mini soundlink has a static sound which has started to occur after it is playoing for several minutes

The 3.5mm jack on your Soundlink may have either factory or man-made defect.This can be fixed by any qualified Bose service personnel.

Go to the system panel, there choose "sound" . a list with all available sound devices appear. search for your bose soundlink and make it your "standard device".
had the same prob. with my BT headset and this works for me.

if your bose get disconnected the sound should automatically switch to pc speakers.
