The freewheel control is in the wrong position. push in all the way for mowing. This control is located on the rear of the mower below the seat.

My Troy built Tony riding lawnmower will go forward but will not go in reverse. The PTO does engage and blades work. When I shift into reverse the engine starts to stall. Any thoughts?

most are set to shut off if the decks running when trying to reverse. some have a 2 position ignition switch so that doesnt happen

Why won't the wheels move forward or backward on my Toro 54" Zero Turn Lawnmower. Was mowing and it stopped moving.

usually if the pins are pulled out that is the freewheel position. push them in to drive. if the trans locks in drive and it is hard to push it should be ready to mow. unless the drive belt is stretched or broken or a linkage is out of adjustment or broken.

Lawnmower wont move in fwd or reverse

Is the brake sticking. On my craftsman mower there is a bar under the brake pedal that pushes back a lever when starting. And the lever sticks. I have to reach underneath and pull the lever forward and then the mower goes. I haven't found a solution to that yet.

Stalls when engage blades in forward, but cuts fine in reverse

Did you try to disengage the safety feature that should shut the tractor off when the blades are engaged and the tractor is placed in reverse? I believe that it is located under the shift leaver

Drive and blade engagement shutsdown the engine.

Sounds like the seat safety switch.
