SOURCE: My nordic track treadmill's walking belt stops

Unplug the unit remove the motor shroud inspect the drive belt if the rubber feel slick then my recommendation is to replace the drive belt. Adjusting the drive belt may take care of the problem if you do not need to adjust it too tight. If you choose to do the adjusting and feel you have adjusted the running belt thinking it would resolve the slipping, then back the tension down until it the running belt is slipping then adjust until the slippage is resolved.

My treadmill when I step on stop. The motor is going but no the bell

Your belt is either worn or out of adjustment and too loose. Some treadmills actually have 2 belts depending on the drive system. Some have a small belt that goes from the actual motor to a pulley that is attached to walking belt drive system. If the big walking belt is tight you may have that system and the small belt needs tightened. Other systems have the motor connected directly to the big walking belt and in this system my guess would be the big walking belt is loose. Most have adjustment screws at the back end of the treadmill frame along side the belt to make it tighter. Adjust both sides the same so it tracks straight.

Belt slipping and moving

Here is a basic procedure that will work for the majority of treadmills out in the market:
If the walking belt has shifted to the left, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt clockwise, and the right bolt counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centred. b. Everything seems to work fine except a small slip in the track about every 30 seconds or so. Is there something that needs to be tightened?

The walking belt may be too loose. If you have made recent adjustments, lubricated, or had repairs, a belt can slip if not tightened. The belt can slip if you have too much friction or if the belt has been recently lubricated. If lube does not help your problem and you have exhausted all other possibilities, the walking belt is most likely worn out and must be replaced.
To adjust the belt: Less Belt Tension: turn both adjustment bolts on back of treadmill in a counter-clockwise direction. More Belt Tension: Turn both adjustment bolts equally in a clockwise direction. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the left): Turn left-side adjustment bolt counter-clockwise. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the right): Turn the left-side adjustment bolt clockwise.
An over tightened walking belt can raise the amp draw of your treadmill, contribute to seam separation on the walking belt, or both, so do not over tighten the walking belt.
You should be able to lift the belt in the center on the side by approximately 2” to 3”, if you cannot lift it by 2” to 3”, the belt is too tight.
