It sounds like you cooked her. If you are jetted lean, and run it wide open for a long period of time, it melts the ring to the piston.
Do a compression test, remove spark plug, thread in gauge, and hold throttle wide open and kick untill the guage stops climbing (Around ten or so) Less than 100 psi is bad.

Is it safe to turn up your water heater as high as it can go?

It is generally not recommended to set your water heater to the highest setting. Water heaters typically have a maximum temperature setting, usually between 120°F and 140°F, and setting the temperature higher than this can be dangerous.
Water that is too hot can cause scalding and skin burns, and can also damage pipes and fixtures. Additionally, high temperatures can cause increased wear and tear on the water heater, reducing its lifespan and potentially leading to costly repairs.
If you're running out of hot water, there are a few other things you can try before turning up the temperature. For example, you could insulate the hot water pipes to reduce heat loss, or upgrade to a larger water heater if your current one is too small for your needs. If you do decide to increase the temperature, be sure to do so gradually and monitor the water temperature to ensure it doesn't get too hot.

Do anyone knows why my 2002 Ford explorer keeps running hot. I changed the thermostat and water pump and it's still running hot.

blocked radiator, blown head gasket, new thermostat in wrong
If the overheating is occurring at standing , low speeds or high rpm low road speed conditions , replace the viscous fan hub as it is not driving the fan properly
If you have electric fans check
bot fuses, engine coolant sensor, relay, fans and wiring

R 1 running hot with water temprature light comming on at high speed

Hi, Lean fuel mix at high speed will make the engine run very hot. Maybe the injectors have a problem or the valves/rings might need some work

If running ok at idle and not running hot, then I'd first examine my rad hoses very carefully, especially lower rad hose. If old and soft, easy to squeeze then replace it/them. Also replace rad cap as well. A soft hose may be collapsing when engine RPM increases, and restricting flow through engine. Next would be to observe water flow with engine running to be sure water pump is doing it's job. I assume you have cleaned and checked rad already. Note: if you run at highway speeds and it gets hot, try turning heater on high fan and hot setting to see if temperature gauge goes down at all, which would make me lean toward a faulty radiator.

The car is building up water pressure. water circulation doesn't seem a problem. Temprature seems to fluxuate. No sign of water and oil mixing anywhere.

yes cars build up water pressure when they get hotter is your car running hot thermostat opens at certain temp to allow water to ciculate whats your question

Tire pressure in manual is 21psi, front and 22psi for rear. Do I need to increase this for on road riding? Pressure seems low for on road riding?

Here's my take on tire pressures and when they need adjusted, I wrote this a while back for someone with a Honda African Twin, so this should help:

Manufacturer's recommendation – Short distance city riding below 100kph. Light off-road use ie. Small rocks, gravel. If the weather/road conditions vary a lot.

30% above recommended pressure – High speed road use. Long distances in warm weather on good quality roads. Go 40% if the conditions are the same but the bike is fully loaded with carriers.

15% below recommended pressure – Short distance riding in cold winter temps. Short distance on wet roads. Off-road, average gravel/rocks and some wet mud.

40% below recommended – Slow off-road riding in very loose dirt, sand, with lots of rocks. Tires will heat up quickly if the pace is picked up which will loose grip and cause accelerated wear.

60% below recommended – Very slow, loose dirt, deep sand (dunes). If tires slip on the rims you need to increase pressure.

My mantra is all about keeping a close eye on tire pressures and adjusting them to suit the conditions rather than keeping strictly at the manufacturer's settings. Starting out my riding career on a BMX, tire pressures can be the difference from landing a perfect jump and falling on your face. Therefore, with a motor attached, it is even more important to get it right – personally I think the 'feel and grip' is more important than the pressure number – regardless if that causes tire wear.

Hope this helps and you vote for me :)
