I'm partly revising myself. If rolling the pearl under pressure doesn't work, you may have to replace it (I got it for $4.99, with shipping). Lift the silver ring around the pearl carefully with a small screwdriver (it is held by tiny prongs at the east, south, and west). If one of the prongs breaks (and they break easily), remove the remains with a pin. Turn the blackberry upside down and hit it slightly against the desk until the case with the pearl falls off (it's about a .25 by .25 inches). Put the new case in with the "stem" in the back (the contact when you click with the pearl) pointing south. With a bit of wiggling it will slide in smoothly. Put the new silver ring back in place. Be careful not to break the prongs (but if you do, two prongs will suffice to hold it in place). That's should be it. No need to even open the Blackberry or to be too much concerned about warranty. (Most likely, your warrenty is expired anyway when enough dirt has accumulated to permanently block one of the four small wheels at the corners of the case.)
