RCA model DRC8335 Loosing the date and time

I like to record programs and watch them later.
The RCA DVD/VCR recorder keeps changing the date and/or time.
I reset the date & time correctly it but the next day it changed itself to a different day and time. I tried unplugging it to see if that would reset but it still changes the date and/or time
It keeps the channel settings and the recording times perfectly even after I unplug it and plug it in again.

That will be a problem from the text side of the broadcast, the clock is set from the text transmission, ( in other words a problem from the transmitter ) possibly due to digital switchover or work on the transmitters. One possible solution would be to turn off auto clock setting, and/or auto summer time adjustment.

I have an RCA VCR model VR651HF that still works great. I can record shows without a problem as long as I'm not trying to watch a dvd. I recently bought a Sony dvd player model DVP SR200. I have my cable...

The sequence should go from the wall to the VCR then the VCR to the RF modulator then from the RF modulator to the TV and this should allow you to record a TV program and watch a DVD at the same time.

I need a manual for this product. Any chance I can download one? RCA DRC8300N DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

I see RCA no longer has any manuals for that unit. But, is this the exact model number? I mean like I have an RCA DRC8335 VCR/DVD recorder, so I am wondering if it is similar? If so I could work out something for you. Email me at [email protected] if you think I can help with my manual.

Hi sjw632001,

Or should I say Steve Warren of Enfiield Ct? It's good that you can't fix your vcr. We wouldn't want you graduating from soliciting kids online for sex to watching child porn now would we?

Enjoy your time with bubba!

Can i hookup extrnal speakers to my hi-fi vcr-dvd recorder without a tuner or a reciver, my model # drc8335. Think you.

I do not think so because the first problem is that the VCR recorder uses RCA audio cables (the White and Red colored cables) but the speakers use regular speaker wire. You cant convert from RCA to regular speaker wire. Second problem is even if you find a way to convert the wires, the DVD recorder does not amplify the sound signal. In fact all DVD players and recorders including VCR combos do NOT amplify the audio signal so you will barely hear it. The receiver does two jobs. First it converts from RCA cable to speaker cable and Second it also amplifies the signal before it sends it out to a speaker. Thats why a receiver is important.

DRC 8335 Playing Back VCR Recordings in a Fast Forward State

I bought mine yesterday and am having the same issues. No solution listed in the user manual to fix this and I have a rather extensive VHS tape library that I was hoping to move to DVD using this unit. Unable to watch any VHS tapes taped on my Panasonic VCR and it seems as if the tape is slipping. Tracking buttons don't fix anything. I found a blank spot at the end of the tape and taped something and it comes out fine. Could this have something to do with it being a 6 head VCR? Tapes are in SLP mode.
