Does Bolen's weed wacker BL100 17" cut 31 cc require a mix of gas and oil. Thank you

Lookup for your specific model - but most of these require a 50:1 gas/oil mix.

Replace the shoes inside the clutch.

You should use 3.2 fl oz of 2 cycle oil for every one gallon of unleaded gas or 100 ml per 4 litres of gas.

50:1 50 parts petrol to 1 part oil

50:1 mix 50 petrol 1 part oil

i also have a ryobi weed wacker. if it is the same. you don"t have to remove the button. line up the 2 arrows one on wheel with bumpy edges and one by the button. you should see 2 holes feed a 2-3 foot piece of line into the hole the line comes out of for cutting and it should come out of a curved holw on the bottom by the button .tuck the end into a small round hole . pull line tight (tug on the section that you cut with). wind the string by turn the ring around the button. til desired length. if this doesn't work. google you model # and look for a manual (manual for ryobi weed wacker model # ------------.)

if using sthil oil the mix is 50:1 if not then its either 32:1 or 40:1 not to much dif

It sounds like your High and Low idles need to be adjusted.
