Ir 2270 every paper jam in fuser at same place

In this situation when the machine detect paper jam although there is no paper inside mean your have a problem with feeding unit.its always happen to canon IR model such as IR3300, IR4570 and etc..u should take out the whole feeding unit and check its sensor (maybe broken flag sensor) or any broken/loose gear.when the feeding cannot pick up the paper, paper jam sign will appear in screen..for troubleshooting use your bypass and see same problem happen or not.

Hi, try to print the error/jam report for service mode, in that report you can see which sensor is detecting the jam

IR 2270, 0108 & 0207 jams your code is the fuser sensor but I would think about adjusting the loop esp if the paper is coming from an optional lower cassette.


FIRST THING I would do is replace the pads for the flapper figure 140 item 6 in parts manual. the two black foam pads were changed to a stronger white pad. These can cause your problem.

You must have a piece of paper somwhere,or one of the sensors doesn't work.

Clean the vertical path rollers .they are located in the right door. check for obstructions. inspect your right door for broken parts and missing pressure springs that keep pressure on those vertical rollers. Make sure the right door is shut firmly.

There might be an issue with the feed clutch or fuser. It depends on where it jams in the machine.

Open your developer unit and check sensor , refix it an close unit see........your problm solved

Silly question first - is the drum unit DR2225 installed?

Check the toner cartridge sits firmly in the drum and that the drum is pushed all the way forward in the internal cavity. If the paper is jamming at the paper pick up roller ie in the paper tray, clean the paper pick up roller with a drop of meths and a drop of detergent on a damp cloth. If the paper jams in the drum unit, check the clear plastic guide flaps are straight and do not catch the paper. Also check that there is not a piece of paper caught in the drum unit. If the paper gets part way through the drum and then jams, check the fuser at the back for a piece of paper crumpled up inside the fuser. If the printer is trying to take ALL the paper at once, check and clean the paper separation shoe in the paper tray.

if it has a paper jam. it should show on the display/panel which the position jammed.
then you open up the cover of it..

IR 2016 is related to a non-detection of the Fixing Film/Upper Roller not spinning correctly.First make sure fuser plastic not damage? Or not move the proper place? if damage fuser plastic Replace by new one if the fuser plastic not damage keep proper place. Please check the condtion of your Film also check the green handle in this area for paper jam removal if it is broken or removed, may also cause this error.
