How can I find out if there is something stuck in the machine. Things still wet after spin.

It could be two problems. Check the hot and cold water inlet valves, it should be completely close at the final spinning cycle. Another thing is water outlet pump it should be run on the spinning cycle. Something might be stuck in the water pump.

Hotpoint WD420 - Washes OK but when it moves to rinse and spin machine stops with error code F05 (lights 2 & 4). Have removed some debris from waste hose but this hasn't fixed it - what else do I...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Indesit (Hotpoint, Ariston) 'F05' decodes as 'pump blockage'.
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hotpoint Aquarius not completing finally spin and pumping out

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} The filter is inside the machine. Turn off the power and pull out the machine to get to the rear. Pull out the hose you see going into the wall pipe, lay at floor level or plastic bag to drain out remaining water in machine. Remove the panel at the bottom (2 screws) where the discharge hose comes out. You should see a black concertina type tube coming from below the drum attached by a jubilee clip. The filter is inside. Loosen the clip and pull away the tube, take out the filter and clean it. When you replace it don't forget to put the ball float back in (exactly as you found it) and check it’s well fixed by running a spin cycle before sealing up. Caution, the exit drain hose shd be fitted at the exact location where you found it, abt three feet up from ground level.

Pl rate me nice for the free help, thnks.

Door stuck shut hot point wd420

It happened on our machine. The soloution to this for me was to take the lid off (two screws). Unplugged from mains. I found the connector to the door had vibrated off and was just hanging loose. Plugged it back in and it worked straight away.Door opens as normal.
Don't forget to look in the manual for how to get the door open in an emergency
