Locked My DVD player says "LOCKED", how do I get it unlocked?

Unplug for 5 min then plug back in... now press and hold the powers button for 15 seconds...thts should fix ya!

The Disc Tray is Locked
If the message “Tray Locked” appears on the screen, the retail lock feature has
been accidentally engaged. To unlock the disc tray you must press and hold a
combination of keys simultaneously:
On the front panel of the DVD Player, press and hold the STOP, ON•OFF and
OPEN•CLOSE buttons for at least 3 seconds.

I forget the password Your player is equipped with a “back-door” unlock sequence. Press and hold
the STOP button on the front of the DVD Player and the STOP button on the
remote control at the same time. (Hold both buttons down at the same time
for at least 3 seconds).

Hi there, I just had the same problem with my daughter, looked in the manual and it says to hold down the stop button and press the eject button on the unit. That should unlock it, its the same procedure to lock it, in case you want to prevent you daughter from attempting to play biscuits!!

I tried the solution p[osted by kuntrygurl and it worked for me! Use the forward and backward keys when it asks for a password, forward,backward,forward, backward

there are two ways to unlock it.first is using the remote. the other is by opening your unit up and manually open the cd tray, then power on.if not, buying a universal remote won't help either, but bring it to a tech is the last option.
