change the pin r jack r charge the batrry at multi charger

you shouldn't panic about this as it is almost a perfectly normal thing for some of the teeth of a charger to go into a phone port when it is connected. for example some sony ericsson phone have about 10 pin points and not all of them come in contact with the respective pins of the charger. some of the points that are left out are usually for other accessories like an earpiece.
the best thing to do is to test your charger on another device on which you are sure it would work with on a normal basis and if possible try a working charger on your pocket pc. with that you would be able to narrow down where the fault is coming from, be it from the charger or the phone.

you could use the TOMTOM GPS SYSTEM, I have the same Pocket and I use it!

Have you tried another charger? its likely charger fault or gps internal short circuit. does gps unit switch on at all?

Your Navman will not run in car unless the output on the charger is 1000ma or 1a. you need to buy a genuine charger, motorola phone chargers do not have the output to run the unit

RECENTLY I DID PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING
SO HERE IS WHAT I DID :
" I TURNED IT ON AND HIT THE HARD RESET AND THEN LEFT IT ON TILL ALL P[OWER WENT AWAY FROM UNIT
SECOND I HAD TO DOWNLOAN A NEW VERSION FOR MY UNIT ; MEANING MAP
THEN I TOOK THE BATTERY OUT AND AND PLUGED IN MY USB CORD AND IT TOOK IT
I PUT MY BATTERY IN AND CHARGED OVER NIGHT AND WELL IT SEEMS LIKE A LOT TO DO BUT FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND MY DRIVER GOT BOOTED OFF THE UNIT AND ANOTHER DRIVER FOR A MODEL WAS ATTACHED
HOW I DONT KNOW BUT MY UNIT WORKS NOW FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS NO PROBLEMS

It is likely your battery is depleted or it can also be an unlikely flaw in the firmware.

A device subjected to a power interruption during a firmware flash can become permanently ruined or cost ineffective to recover.
