Most microwave diodes will work just fine from system to system. The most common ones I use are rated at 550ma. When you check your old diode what made you think it was bad? They are such a high rating you will not get a reading on it with a regular ohm meter. Mostly on HV rectifiers if it is not shorted ( Zero Ohms) it is probably good. If you have no high voltage then substitute it and see if you do get high voltage, then you know it was open. Follow the video and give it a try.
If your turntable is not going around you may have one of two problems: the coupler under the glass tray may be worn and in need of replacement or the turntable motor needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.
Once i opened up the microwave, I found that some kind of capacitor or something (had two wires going to it) had fell down on top of the fan. I had to rig the plastic mounting bracket and re-attach it to a panel inside. That took care of the rubbing noise. It turned out that some one had unplugged the wire that powered the turntable. That took care of that. it seems to work fine now. Steve
If you just purchased and Installed the microwave, I would call Sears and tell them what is happening, generally, it would still be under warranty if less than a year old. If its a countertop model, you may have to take it in, otherwise they should come to the home for the repair. I would also NOT indicate that you have looked at it as that would void your warranty. Otherwise, it seems like the problem could be, a) touchpad , b) a relay or c) the main control board
