Every photo is missing from my SD card that fell into the seawater

My camera, along with the SD card, fell into a tide pool. We took out the battery and everything and let it dry. When it dried after a few days, we took the SD card and plugged it back into the camera, but saw nothing, when we plugged it into my MacBook Pro, we found that the name was the name given to every SD card formatted to that camera. I can only recover photos before my vacation.

you can try some mobile phone data recovery software. You can see
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOSOGjaVd80
It tells the steps how to perform data recovery.

If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.

Everything has disappeared from my SD card and when I use a recovery software, all of them only seem to find the photos before them.

I'm afraid your SD card was internally damaged by the sea water. They're not hermetically sealed. Sorry about that outcome.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

Missing photos from an SD card

The card has likely become corrupted. But it should be no problem at all to get the photos back, but you will need to use recovery software in conjunction with a card reader. There's plenty of freeware to available to use for this. Here are some examples. Again you'll need to use a card reader with the software. They're very inexpensive these days (check Amazon) so that shouldn't be a problem either. Finally AFTER recovering your photos, format the card IN YOUR CAMERA to rejuvenate it and setup the correct Canon file folder format on the card. This should also help prevent this from happening again. This will also totally erase the card, so only do this after recovering the photos.

My Kodak Easyshare caemra will only hold 3 photos.

You need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.
If successful please give me the feedback as a rating or recommendation. Thank you

My chip fell out, I took some pictures they are saved in the camera how can I transfer them to the chip?

If you're calling the SD memory card a chip, then you need to transfer the images with a USB cable to your computer. Once that's done put the memory card back in the camera and all subsequent photos will record on the card.

Missing pictures

Lets check the SD card first.

Take out the SD card and put it in external card reader connected to computer.

Copy/transfer all the photos from the SD card to computer.

goto My Computer and right-click the 'Removable Disk' (the SD card drive) and click Properties.
click Tools and click Error checking - Check now button
select the option 'automatically fix file-system errors' and click Start button.
if any errors was found and fixed, you can also Format the SD card. And your SD card should not drop photos again.

Now put SD card back in the camera.

Now take 20 test photos and check if something is missing.
if not take 20 more test photos and check if something is missing.
if all is ok then you can delete all test photos and start taking normal photos.

I had success with this
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download SD card photo recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

Can't access photos on 2 GB SD camera card.

You may try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your digital camera sd card, here are some for your options.

Photo Recovery (for Windows)
Photo Recovery for Mac

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.
