I have not found assembly instructions for any Mainstays children's table and chair set online.
Therefore, I suggest you contact Walmart Customer Service and ask about the availability of the assembly instructions for the model of table and chairs which you have. This is the link to the Walmart Contact Us web page: https://corporate.walmart.com/contact-us
I am answering from the USA. I see Kogan is an Australian and New Zealand online retailer.
Is the chair you are referring to this one on the Kogan website: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/black-executive-office-chair-faux-leather/
Note: The information about the chair states that an owner's manual (which should have assembly instructions) will be in the box with the new chair.
To lower the back, lift it until it stops firmly. Now let it fall all the way down. (It might need a little push to go all the way down.) To raise the back, lift it slowly until it clicks once. Each click is a height setting; it will stay at that height. Repeat until the back is high enough. To go back down, start over. (This definitely applies to Tempur-Pedic TP4100 Office chair.)
This is the assembly for the Realspace Calusa Mesh Back Chair purchased from Office Depot (Item # 857-562). Mine didn't include instructions, so I chatted with customer service so you don't have to.
