The battery on the Asus does take a very long time to charge (over 12 hours before you use it the first time, then 8 hours or more each time). It takes even longer if you charge it from the USB port in a computer rather than connect it to its dedicated charger, or if you use it while it's charging. If you've already charged it for 8-12 hours, try turning it on by pressing the power button *and holding it down* for a couple of seconds before releasing it. Then, when using the tablet, try keeping it hooked up to the charger when possible, or at least recharge it overnight.

You can check on battery charge by tapping "Settings" at the bottom of the Home screen, then tap "Battery" in the Device category. The % charge will be at the top of the screen. I enjoy my Asus tablet, and it's good for several hours at a time between charges, but you do have to keep it charged up. Good luck!

Hi my name is Jerry. My Cambio tablet won't turn on. Help! Occasionally it will Bing at me when I push the button.

Push the power and volume up button down at the same time for 10-20 seconds.

Try that twice.

If that does not work, try charging the device via the computer. You might have a bad charger and the tablet simply is not getting charged. Leave the device charging by the computer for at least an hour. That won't give it a full charge but it might let you know that the battery simply was not previously charged enough for the tablet to activate. If that doesn't work, try the Cambio support page.

I have a NextBook Ares 8 Tablet. Why does it take 12+ hours to recharge?

(this is all i could find on the internet so this is not to say it will help you but try it and see what happens).........PRess the power button and the volume down button at the same time and hold until the unit restarts... it resets the charging cycle and the note will charge reasonably quick from then on... I do this on occasion when my battery seems to charge slow.
plus some people are saying get a new charger.

How can I change the battery in m9100 kocaso

Try the follow to see if it will fix it:
There is a power reset button near the charging port. It looks like a tiny hole. While plugged into the charger, use a paperclip to push the button inside this hole for 3-5 seconds. If it turns on, please allow it to charge for 4-6 hours before using it. If you leave it on the charger for longer than the allocated time, you will go back to having the same problem as before. If the power does not come on, please leave it plugged up for 4-6 hours then disconnect it from the power and turn it on.

If your tablet does not have the reset button: With the tablet plugged into the charger, hold the power button for 10 seconds then click the volume up once. If it turns on, please allow it to charge for 4-6 hours before using it. If you leave it on the charger for longer than the allocated time, you will go back to having the same problem as before. If the power does not come on, please leave it plugged up for 4-6 hours then disconnect it from the power and turn it on.

After performing the power reset on the device the device will behave in one of the following ways:
1. The tablet will turn on like normal.
2. The tablet will show the battery icon only.
3. The tablet will show nothing on the screen at all.

All of these are normal for the device and should not be cause for alarm. If the device still fails to power on after being left on the charger for 4-6 hours,

Then most likely the battery will need replacing.

Tablet's battery lost power and won't recharge

Please make sure the tablet is charged for at least 4-6 hours. Also, make sure the correct button is being used, oftentimes we hear the back or home button has been used in error. Asus transformer T100T battery takes hours to charge & tablet won't turn on

So, greyhen2, we meet again. Here's the answer I gave to your other posting of this same question:

Nokia N800 Tablet

I had the same problem with the n810. I was using a non-oem battery and the connections were a loose fit causing the battery not able to charge.
If you take the battery cover off, hold the battery firmly in place. Connect the charger and make sure battery is charging, then press the boot button. If it boots and stays on, then shuts off when you stop holding the battery. Then you probably have a loose connection or a bad battery. Also try cleaning the connector with a pencil eraser and alcohol.
I had to wedge tthe battery in place. You can find a spare battery with a desktop charger on Ebay for around $10US.
