Service manual for SHARP 80inch TV

Hello. I have a SHARP 80inch TV which while watching switched off with smoke coming out of the back. I have confirmed through a SHARP agent that the problem is with the power board however I need the service manual for my TV in order to order the accurate parts. Could someone tell me where I can find it. Thank you.

SOURCE: Sharp Aquos Won't Power On

I have the same problem with my My LC-42D62U WHen i watch certain DVDs, (so far it happened on SAW III and RUNNING SCARED) during certain parts of those movies my TV will turn off and i cant turn it back on unless i unplug it and plug it back in. It only turns off on specific parts in the movie, i have no idea why...like the same exact parts...so i pretty much have to pause the movie with my remote once my TV turns off then when i power the TV on again just resume the movie and its fine...but if i rewind to that part again it'll power off again SAW III only had one part like that....but RUNNING SCARED had about 3-4

SOURCE: tv will not start after power surge

Voltage checking and caps inspection will be the first thing to do.
If you can post the pictures, that will help a lot. Look at the inverter board to see if you are getting 12~18vdc feeding it, also look for caps with leaking/bulging top.
See some pictures here:

SOURCE: sharp Lc-26sb24u white screen with sound

You will get a white screen when you unplug the t-con from the main board. Doing so removes power to the LCD panel. Verify that all of your voltages from the power supply are correct. If they are, I'd look at the t-con board. It sounds like there is a problem with the t-con that is pulling down the main board.

Lg 42 plasma - loud bang/spark smelly smoke and small flame inside.

It is a short circuit caused by some components and/or power capacitors. This may need assessment by a qualified service technician.

Philips tv smokes

Do this only if you are a qualified service technician:

This problem can come if any moisture has entered or is formed inside the TV.

Switch of the power outlet, and remove the plug. Open the back cover and check what are the parts burnt visibly. If it is in the SMPS area, you may require a thorough check on the load and replace all the burnt parts by looking through a Service Manual. Anyhow, this might require attention by a qualified service technician.

Hi well when this happens it maybe due to quite a few reasons unfortunately. It can be a bad PSU, a bad, color engine or indeed one of a myriad of things that can cause this. One simply MUST perform the troubleshooting steps to isolate and locate the fault. To do this, at least, one needs a service manual, accordingly please find the links above to download a copy if you want to DIY?
However imhpo, the very best thing you can do to effect a repair is to contact a local or head office from Sharp, and ask them for a referral to an authorised service center, now make contact here and either ask for a service call or take the unit in, in any event when face to face ONLY ask first for a "Quote" as to what's wrong and prospective costings and go from there.
imhpo In My Professional Humble Opinion.

HDMI ports 5 and 6 on the back of tv no longer are working. (We had a series of thunder storms so don't know if that is how they got damaged or if it was something else) but moved HDMI input cable to HDMI port 4 on tv and everything is working again. Service call placed for warranty service on tv to repair bad ports.

I have a new sharp aquos lcd tv that can't get sound. any ideas?

Are you watching the inbuilt digital tuner?? If so, double check if there`s a switch on the back for external speakers, Make sure it`s switched to internal. Some of the Sharp TV`s have the switch for internal and external TV`s in the menu`s. Make sure that any switches whether mechanical or electronic are switched to internal. Ian
