This i what i did:
hold windows key+arrow up & arrow down + power
when the screen comes let go, hit F10 rapidly
click on security factory defaults or something like that
and reboot - password is gone!
It may work on other models too?

If you really wanted to reset the bios, you have to disassemble your laptop and look for the battery. It is a small circle usually clip with a small metal and soldered. Cmos battery located on the rear of your motherboard. Get the battery using soldering iron or gun, put it back again the battery after 10 seconds. These process will erase all the save information from your cmos or bios. Assemble again and test your laptop. Have a good day!

Until you can get the keyboard of the laptop replaced, you can buy a USB to AT keyboard adapter and hook a desktop keyboard to your system. Also a USB keyboard would work just fine directly plugged-in to one of the USB ports.
Most likely the fix will be to replace the keyboard, which is usually very easy to remove on laptops, but until you can get it fixed, you'll be able to use the system with the regular AT keyboard.
If you want to try to replace the keyboard yourself, I believe I've found it on the HP web site (you will need to confirm that it is the correct keyboard by contacting HP)

The process of removing a BIOS password is long but not impossible. I've tailor made a solution fit exactly for your predicament.
Important (Please read befor you proceed)
Whichever method you choose when flashing, the BIOS not only the password, but also all the other configuration data will be reset to the factory defaults. So when you are booting for the first time after you have flashed the BIOS, you should enter the CMOS configuration menu and fix up some things. When you boot Windows, it may happen that it finds some new device, because of the new configuration of the BIOS, in this case you'll probably need the Windows installation CD because Windows may ask you for some external files.
WARNING!!! Make sure your laptop is unplugged before opening it up. Ground yourself before handling any components inside a PC to reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge.
If you don't know how to configure your BIOS, don't mess with it. You can damage your PC!! Rather get a qualified technition to hep you.
There are a few ways to reset the BIOS password as listed below.
•Using a manufacturers backdoor password to access the BIOS.
•Reset the CMOS using the jumpers or solder beads.
•Removing the CMOS battery for at least 10 minutes.
•Using a professional service.

You can reset the BIOS to its default values using the MS-DOS tool DEBUG (type DEBUG at the command prompt. Do it in pure MS-DOS mode, not from a MS-DOS shell window in Windows). Once you are in the debug environment enter the following commands:

Resetting BIOS via hardware (CMOS jumpers and CMOS battery)
If you can't get into Windows and the standard backdoor passwords didn't work then you will need to flash the BIOS via the motherboard's hardware.
NOTE: Please read the important note at the begining of this section before to try any of these methods.
Using the jumpers to reset the BIOS password and settings
The best way to flash the BIOS via hardware is to plug, unplug, or switch a jumper on the motherboard, (if the jumper is normally on position 1-2, you have to put it on position 2-3, or viceversa). The 3-pin jumper should near the power supply on the motherboard, typically labeled "clear cmos" or "reset bios". To find the correct jumper you should read the motherboard's manual.
Once you've located the correct jumper, switch it (or plug or unplug it, depending from what the manual says) while the computer is turned OFF. Wait a couple of seconds then put the jumper back to its original position.
If after flashing the BIOS, the computer won't boot when you turn it on, turn it off, and wait some seconds before to retry.
Removing the CMOS battery
If you can't find the jumper or if it doesn't exist, you can remove the battery that keeps the BIOS memory powered. It's a button-size battery somewhere on the motherboard.
The laptop CMOS battery is shown below.
Disconnect it for 15-30 minutes or more, then reinsert it and the data in the BIOS memory should be reset. If at first it doesn't work, try to remove the battery overnight. Once the battery has been reinserted power up the PC and see if the reset was successful.

Go to HP's site, look to see if there is any documentation on taking the laptop apart, remove the battery, take it apart, and remove the watch battery found within. Keep it out for a few minutes, put it back, reassemble, and you're good to go.

If you know the password you can enter the BIOS settings to change the password.. but i stress that you WILL need the current password to do so.
If you do NOT know the current password, you will have to remove the Lithium ION 1.5v battery from the computer, which will require a miniature screw-driver. If you remove the battery for about 30 seconds, the BIOS settings will be cleared to default.
In order to do this I suggest you look up a guide on the manufacturer's website and find out where exactly the battery is housed. It is generally very easy to access the battery, so don't be too scared off by all of the steps provided.
