Hello, that sounds a power supply problem, maybe a bad capacitor or the amplifier chip is overheating, basically the board inside needs be checked and fixed.
Thanks
My HTS8100 2 yrs ago stopped working properly, sound was on its max and little was heard. Well after searching for solutions and took it for repair which was a waste, my brother came from Australia for a holiday who is a technician and fixed it for me. The problem is in the subwoofer, I am uploading a photo where this part is ,
STRX6759 SANKEN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT STRX6759. Its behind that capasitor. When I changed it the sound worked. Hope you will find it useful.
Same problem with my HTS8100. Little-to-no sound. Sometimes sound comes on very intermittently. I downloaded the software patch from the Philips website and installed it. This fixed the sound problem for about a week, then the problem came back. I'm not sure what else to do.
You can order it directly from Philips. http://philipsparts.fox-international.com/PhilipsConsumerModelDetail.aspx?&hlt=Link_PartsAcc_Home_Portable_Entertainment&scy=US&model=HTS8100/37&slg=AEN&mid=Link_PartsAcc_Home_Portable_Entertainment&session=20090603003207_72.73.160.138&ctn=HTS8100/37
Reset the soundbars bluetooth
I have no sound coming through the soundbar
