The CCD may have been damaged and cannot process the image into an electrical signal or the Iris is stuck closed. It needs to be taken apart to fix.

Hey there, I had the same problem until I left the last two (letters) off. Mine were XD. then all went well. So I used the three rows of 4 numbers each, and that was it.

Hi mate, I had same problem as you, took the cam into store and teh guy helped me out.

Make sure you get the recharger for the camcorder, then plug it into teh camcorder and also to the wall power when you are uploading the files. It can needs an extra power boost to get the files onto your computer.

- so plug in your camcorder to computer
- also plug in the battery recharger cord to the camcorder

Should work fine!!
