please check whether the sony remote code book includes vizio as a category. If not, then the two devices are not compatible and you'll need to call vizio to figure out which remotes are compatible with your tv and then choose from that list before programming the new remote to your tv.
Can you please give us the exact model of this TV set so we can help you better..by the way did you try resetting the settings of your TV using the remote I believe there's an option there to reset the settings of the TV set....
Have you tried going to menu then to video options, screen size should be in that menu, also have got a zoom funtion on the remote, if so try using that. Do you have the owners manual, if not I will try to find a copy in PDF file format, just let me know.
Firstly have you tried the brightness control or contrast? If all else fails try the factory reset setting. If you don't know where that is use the manual - if you don't have one visit the Sony Website and you should get a free PDF of it.
Many TV functions can be controlled from the on-screen menus using buttons on the TV itself. These include all kinds of settings however Sony did not include PIP in these menus. Therefore a valid remote is required to operate PIP. One thing you could try is removing the cable from the secondary input on the TV which provides the signal for the other picture. Without an input signal PIP may be disabled. Also, try buying a universal remote and setting the proper code for your TV. Original remote could be hard to find but remotes.com may have one.
Here a website to get the original remotes.1-800-Remotes Factory original. To buy exact remotes or very close to the original. No other way,tv control on the front of the tv don't have functions to work for PIP.
Tries this website for a new remote 1-800-Remotes Factory original for new remote or tries the manual controls on the tv for functions to ajust the screeen sizes.
can you turn on the tv manually? or with the original sony remote control
are you using the channel 3 or any video input to display the tv picture.
thanks
That is called PIP "picture in Picture" It allows you to watch 2 channels at the same time, The only way you can fix it is by getting the original remote or a universal one which has that option.... I am not sure but I think if you unplug the tv, it will reset to factory settings... Idk try it!!
