Just go to any hardware store and buy any drywall mesh tape on that width (2" - 50mm) and approximately same length (50yds to 60yds), virtually all of them have same internal diameter, therefore you should not have any problem with putting it into the dispenser.

do not bother with brandname! generic tape work as well and is half the price! tapeis glued only to tack to the wall, then mud is holding it.

If you have a hidden small area like a closet, you can use masking tape. Then compound over. I have done this many times with no problems.

Not sure if you are asking to replace tape that is pealing or working on new drywall. Mesh tape isn't the answer to good drywall seams. Paper tape is the strongest taping method. It still gives the best coverage but has to be applied correctly. The correct method of applying paper tape is placing the compound to the tape and then the tape to the wall. This way there are no dry areas under the tape. You can find more helpful info on taping at tapebuddy.net. The drywall taping manual has a lot of good info.

How to fix not rewind craftsman posilock tape 12 ft x 1/2 in 39406?

Step 1 - Open the Case Use a small screwdriver to open the case. Be careful with the contents inside after the case is open, as you do not want the tape and the system to fall out of the case and unwind. To prevent this, keep your finger on top or use a small piece of masking tape to keep everything in place.
Step 2 - Look Inside Take a look inside the case to see if there is a simple problem with the retraction system. For example, the spring might be undamaged but unhinged from the tape, or there might be dirt clogging the spring. If it's an easy fix, remove the dirt or reinsert the spring, and then proceed to the sixth step to close the case.
Step 3 - Remove the Tape If the problem runs deeper than a bit of debris, you will have to remove the tape to observe the retraction system. Take the tape slowly out of the case, holding the retraction system in place. Once the tape is completely out, disconnect it from the spring.
Step 4 - Replace or Fix the Retraction System If the spring is broken, disconnected, or damaged, you will need to replace it with a new one. You can purchase a new part at the same store you bought your tape measure from. Make sure you have the model number and size when you go to the store to get the exact fit.
Step 5 - Put the Tape Back After replacing the spring, connect the tape to the spring by putting the end of the spring into the hole at the start of the tape. There is usually a part connected with tape. Use some masking tape to put it back together. After you've secured the connection, let the tape roll slowly back into the case.
Step 6 - Close the Case Having tested the retraction system by letting the tape roll in, you have successfully repaired your retraction system. Now, remove the masking tape keeping the system inside the case, and reattach the top cover with the screwdriver. Your measuring tape should retract again properly.
If, after completing this guide, your tape measure still doesn't work properly, consider purchasing a new one or upgrading to a laser tape measure for reading at a distance.

My Jumbo 25ft. tape measure won't rewind. I took the side cover off and tried to rewind the spring by hand but it keeps unwinding even when I turned it over, still the same

Hi Sonnyfresh, Follow the following steps:

Step 1 - Open the Case Use a small screwdriver to open the case. Be careful with the contents inside after the case is open, as you do not want the tape and the system to fall out of the case and unwind. To prevent this, keep your finger on top or use a small piece of masking tape to keep everything in place.

Step 4 - Replace or Fix the Retraction System If the spring is broken, or damaged, you will need to replace it with a new one. You should be able to replace it. Make sure you have the model number and size when you go to the purchase one.

Step 6 - Close the Case Test the retraction system by letting the tape roll in, hopefully you have repaired retraction system. Remove the masking tape keeping the system inside the case, and reattach the top cover with the screwdriver. Your tape should retract again properly.

Kind regards
Davoid

Backup tape(RDX) getting ejected automatically after sometime while backup job is not running.

RDX tape drives, by HP (tandenberg)
did you reload all that HP software and drivers fresh?
did you try fresh tape.
i replace the tape drive, (new , used, NOS , from whom, ebay)

i bet the tape drive, logs errors, if you look,
the driver software will log that, and you can see why the tape
failed, my guess, damage to the tape, end to end.
try fresh new tape, NEW in a box, not used.

Aiwa ad wx929

this is what i rendered to another person asking about replacing belts in a tape transport

Can you not retrieve you tape ?

this is caused by a safety feature, your tape is not damaged more than it might already be, if your take up spool the right side dos not rotate when it is suppose to it registers a fault. in all cases it simply dos not play the tape.
some other units require the loading of the tape path components IE pinch roller/ and tape pickup heads if this function is interrupted and unable to complete its cycle you will not get your tape back until you disassemble and manually advance the function to it`s conclusion ARE YOU PREPARED TO UNDERTAKE THIS PROCEDURE ?.

LTO tape Drive keeps ejecting tape

This could be that you are putting an LTO3 or LTO4 tape in the drive (or expired cleaning tape) Or it could be that the tape or tape drive has a problem reading the data.

Try using a brand new cleaning tape (clears the cleaning issue) and then try a brand new LTO2 tape.
If this works, then the issue was just related to your tapes, if this does not work then there must be a problem with he drive itself.

If the problem is with the drive, then contact www.tape-drive-repair.com for replacement costs. These drives are now very inexpensive and it might just be easier to replace the drive.

If you want to attempt to fix the issue yourself then respond back with a few more details and i will try and advise you on the best things to try.

Tape broke on W928 tape measure

I looked around and can't find a replacement tape for this 12 footer. The tape measure itself seems to be no longer available.
I suggest recycling it and buying a new tape measure.

Can't get the tape to eject. Any suggestions?

The tape is caught in the pulley system. It happens on the older players at work. You can eject the tape manually to get it out but you will have to break it to do that. Best to replace it with a new one. If it is under warrenty, get it replaced.

Replacing tapes

Hi,

if the back up job has completed it should eject or
you should be able to tell the software you are using for a back up to eject.
or there should be an eject botton on the front of your tape drive.

Good Luck

I was having the exact same problem & had lost my user's manual (you can go on the Dymo.com website to download a replacement). The !!!!!!!!!! display means that there probably is a tape jam. Here's what the manual says:
*!!!!!!in the display indicates that the tape can not be transported *Press any key to return to normal display *Check if there is a tape jam. In that case, life out the cassette and carefully release jammed tape. Cut off excess tape and refit/replace the cassette *If there is no tape jam replace the batteries
