Hello codyr25,

First of all, you need to isolate what is causing the problem. No output (sound from the sub) could be a defect in the 1) Wiring, 2) Head unit, 3) Speaker(s), or 4) The amp itself.

Start to systematically eliminate the possible causes. Connect your subs to a known good system. If they work, it's got to be something else. Check the RCA cables from your head unit to the amp. Check the speaker wiring. Check the amp on-board fuses.

Make sure that you have output from the head unit. With multiple RCA jacks, it's possible to plug your cables into an input rather than an output (in the dark, behind the dash). If you have more than 1 set of preamp outs, try another set.

Hope this helps.

Where i find the high lever input conector?

It is a plug located to the left of the RCA inputs on the opposite end of the amp where the power and speaker outputs are. You will need a plug with pigtails (most likely available from JL Audio

Green power light on JL Audio 500/1 but no output

Its the power transistors that would be affected by low voltage. It delivered till it finally gave up 'cos the output wattage to be generated at low voltage means more current flowing through the equipment. This high current will adversely affect all small solenoid valves & transistors and IC's. Even failure of one section of any IC is rarely detectable with the naked eye. It has to be thoroughly checked with a multi-meter to assess the damage correctly......sodeep

Wire three 10" jl subs to jl e1200

what is the impedance of your woofers it will be a number with an Omega symbol. Looks like a horseshoe next to your woofer . Like this JL Audio 10W1v3 8ohm. Please, Please tell me you bought 8 ohm woofers JR?? Because if not, it ain't gunna happen.. If you did buy 8 ohm woofers than wire them in parrellel which means all the +'s together and all the -'s together giving you a final impedance of 2 ohms and your amp will think your a car audio GOD... But if not be ready to smell plastic burning where your amp used to be.... let me know i can walk you thru the wiring but let me know what you have. ok. mark

Only works for RADIO!!!

You're using the wrong control lead. There should be an amp control lead. You're using the power antenna lead.

Car amp's stopped working. Putting out a heart beat sound through subs but no bass.

could be low current ,disconnect all power including ground for 20min N.B most amps will seem to be shorted at output but this is normal due to damping ratio.
