Transcend mp850 not playing music files when connected to pc

Question edited for clarity.

That player will only play these formats

Music Formats: MP3 WMA and WMA-DRM10 (Subscription
music)

Guessing whatever was on the laptop was not the right format.

Restore your device, some MP3 players take a certain setting, try mw4 files of music, should be able to convert your music from mp3 to mw4/mp4

After decompressing the .zip file please read the Firmware Update Procedure pdf document. It is described how to do this.
The .zip file contains the .pdf and .exe files too.

Yes you can view movies BUT the movies files must be converted to a format that can be played on your media player.
You need earphones to listen to music and movies.

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. T.sonic 850 only supports ".mtv" video files. You must use the "Transcend MTV Video Converter"
Software to convert ".MPEG4," ".DivX," ".AVI" and ".xVID" video files to the ".mtv" format.
This converter software should be on the CD you had together with your device.

well the music files arent working just try to wait 5 hrs then try it again and if that dont work then try to reset it

what loacked?... problem can solve by reformating... if cannot reformat you must tell to the company of that transcend mp850...

The problem is with the computer. Update the driver, Or put the Software CD of the player, and now it will work fine.
