I removed the majority of my playlist from my sansa e260. when i disconnect the player ALL of the songs are still in my song list despite being deleted AND they won't play (bad track message). when i tried to sync new songs through windows media player i get an error for almost every single song. i know there is nothing wrong with the format because some of them i had on my player before. helllllllppppppppp!

I agree with the above suggestion. Try setting the USB Mode under "Settings" on "MSC" on the Sansa. My computer would not recognize the e260 when the mode was set to "MTP"; works fine on "MSC".

Hi Janworks4u. Question for you... Did your mp3 work fine with WMP 10? I ask because WMP 11 is known for causing problems w/mp3 players. You can try reverting to WMP 10 to see if that fixes your problem. To do this:
click START, click on CONTROL PANEL, ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS (look at the top center of the Add or Remove Programs box that pops up for a little square you can click on that says "show updates." Click that box and then scroll down to WMP 11. Click to change/remove. A box will pop up confirming that you will revert to WMP 10. NOTE THIS WILL NOTE DELETE ANYTHING FROM YOUR COMPUTER! All of your music that is in WMP 11 will still be there in WMP 10!
Now you can try to load your songs back on through WMP 10 and hopefully it'll work for you. Good luck!
