CD's play in Media Player but not Home/Car CD player ?

Hello, to Rip a CD to your computer means to convert the audio on the CD into a format that your computer can play, such as mp3 or wma. Windows media player can rip CDs to both formats and stores them in your music folder. Just insert your CD and the option to rip should pop up.
To Burn a CD means the reverse, to transfer music files from your computer to a CD. Media player does this a well, just click the Burn tab to begin.

if provided with an audio cd/dvd then windows media player can rip the wma files to wmp files but if you have the files on the drive then you will need an external converter for that purpose.

Are you writing a "data" CD, with many MP3 files,
or are you using Windows Media Player to burn a "music" CD?
Windows Media Player will convert the MP3 files back to WAV files.

The CD-reader in your car cannot read MP3 files -- it can only read WAV files -- commercial CDs are written as WAV files.

When you put the CD into your computer, how many megabytes of the disk are "used", and how many "tracks" are there on the CD?

if its right you just copy the shortcut of the music from your cd to your windows media player, meaning you cannot play that song in the media player if the cd is not inserted, you have to rip first the cd to your pc then put it in your mp3. Also make sure that you rip it in the right format that your mp3 can play, media player automatically rip the music as wma not mp3, make sure your mp3 player can play wma.

These files have DRM, or Digital Rights Management, which only allows them to play on authorized machines. There are many programs out there to remove the DRM without affecting the quality of the songs, such as freeme2 and Digital Music Converter. Another method is to burn them to a CD, then re-rip them. It is fair use if you're using them on your own devices.

i wouldnt use sync feature for the shaker read the following:
check the file types from you music the shaker only plays MP3 and PCM WAV  file types. You may have WMA (if u used windows media player) which will not play on the shaker  (i had this same ploblem btw) you can easly find free music file converter software to change these files to mp3 or wav types (which i did), or you could rerip to songs from a cd and tell the windows media player to rip the files as mp3 types instead of the default wma format  from the windows media player widow :
tools >> options >> Rip Music >> under format select mp3 (theres a wav option but i used the mp3 option to be safe) 
do not use the sync feature it will automatically convert your files to to wma (why? i dont know) instead copy the files directly from the folder that contains them :
right click the file you need to put on the player select open file location drag and drop to the player (or copy/paste if you want).

what you might want to do is to rip the songs from the cd as an mp3 songs/go to your windows media player tools setting and change the rip file to MP3 instead of WMA...

is the files your burninthe same format m8 ie mp3,wma
