Hi,I ripped a CD and then burnt to new CD-R (wma file) and it played fine on computer but wont play on normal home stereo or car stereo ! I then downloaded album (MP3) and burnt another copy and that wouldnt play on home stereo either ? What do I do &/or what sort of File's do Household and Basic car CD players recognise,I feel like a dummy as I use my computer as my stereo these days but my family want some CD's to play using a stereo, many thanks in advance !!!!!!!!!!
If you are using windows Media Player to burn the cd you have to burn to an audio cd. You can only burn to mp3 cd if your car or home system canread them. Wma audio cannot normally be read by car or home audio. The file format is called WAV
Make sure that when you are creating the cd you create a audio disc. You cannot add music files to a cd and have them play on stereo if it was not created as a music cd. What program do you use to burn the disc?
