Insignia 27" lcd tv vertical colored lines across screen.

I have a Insignia NS-27LCD. THe set has no sound, no picture, on on screen displays. It does have random vertical color lines across the screen.

Thanks for the response, but I am looking for information on board level repair of the main board. I am a electronics tech, but cannot find any service information for Insignia.

Sound and picture present,but it is very bright, images are ghostly and color lost

This television, appears to have had a failure in the mainboard. This is the board that controls the video functions and sound functions. The unit should be taken or sent in to a service center for testing and servicing. The service center will have all the correct service information to determine the problem for you. You can call Insignia customer support at this telephone number 1-877-467-4289. You can also got to the customer support website at www.insignia-products.com. Go to the support section and ask them for help on how to get service for your television. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Sound is one but very often picture goes to just a line across the screen, mid-screen

sounds like cold solder joint in the vertical circuit. May be schematic inside case, or look on main board for silkscreen labels, ones starting with V are for vertical circuit. look at solder side with magnifier and you will most likely fine one or more "cold" broken joints, especially where large wattage resistors or IC's with large heat sinks are attached to the main board. Just reheat them and flow new solder on them and send me 5 bucks (only kidding) should be a good fix.

27'' LCD panel compatability

Both power supplies are supplying the same voltages to the circuits but in order to use the one from the NS-27LCD 27" you will need to change the wiring configurations to make it work for the LCT2715..
I could repair the power supply from the LCT2715 for under $90.00 including parts, labor and shipping it back to you.

Insignia ns32lcd no picture just lots of vertical colored lines

Usually this problem is caused by the connections for the LCD Controller(TCON). If you disconnect and re-connect the cable until it works correctly it will usually solve this problem.

Insignia 32" TV Thin line across screen 1-2" from top

This is usually caused by bad capacitors in the vertical circuit. If you have an electronics background you should be able to find the defective ones with an ESR tester .

Does anyone know where can I buy a screen for a 27" LCD Insignia TV. Model is NS-27LCD? My screen creaked. I checked out e-bay and have not found a broken TV with a good screen. Does anyone know where I can buy a screen at.

if that look like horizontal line shuld be vertical problem. check vertical ic around it of resistor& capacitor. good luck!

Happens with mine also usually happens when you change channels alot all you need to do is shut tv off and turn it back on.

Thin Horizontal line through tv blank screen.

Replaced vertical IC ( la78041 ??>.. Or La78040 ). Look for born resistor beside IC. Replaced capacitor 100uf 35V too!!! Good luck !!
