Sharp VL-Z500H Mini DV Digital Camcorder will not record

buy a dvd recorder or if it has a fir wire port try importing videos to your pc desktop witch also needs fire wire port then you use nero or pinnacle studio and you controls the camera from the video editing software with out a problem .

If not charging,3 reasons may be-
1.Charger is defective.Check adapter
2.Batt is defective.Try with another one
3.Camera is electrically dedective.Can't complete charging.

turn camera on, (on record side.) then press display button, go to menu, then select execute, press execute, that will bring you to settings 1 scroll down, the menu will get longer. you will find language selection there. .

Hi I have a Viewcam Z digital camcorder model vl-z5u. I can't find my picture when I take it on the sd card. The manual I download doesn't really tell you how. Can someone tel me how find the pictures I've taken?

Clean up your head with the mini Dv head cleaner cassette. If still problem persists, give it to company personnal for repairing this problem, because this is the problem for the head. The head is the costly part in camcorder. So please give it to authorized person other than the local technician.

To transfer video you need to use firewire, not usb. If you use firewire to connect, set the camera to the 'play' icon and then open up a capture program (ie, movie maker) you should be able to just record/capture from there. Good luck!

use your cd to install the drivers onto your computer. Connect camera via usb and use the pixel software that came with your camera or you can use Windows Movie Maker to download your recordings.
