Sorry friend! you cannot do so, and do not try it also because due to continous running of freezer, the thermostart will not work and your compressor may get damaged......................have a nice day :-)

It doesn't cool, and in freezer side its collecting water, and also water dripping in the refrigirator .

If this is happening while compressor is running normally , first check temperature of condenser coils (black tubing)while running. If hot to touch, compressor is ok.(Good news)If not hot ,it's shot,or your defrost heater stuck on.(not likely)

If compessor not coming on at all it could be a control problem.eg thermostat ,or stuck defrost timer.

If compessor wants to come on or you hear clicking ,suspect start relay or start capacitor.

hope this helps

This is second fridge/freezer, kept in garage. Opened freezer to remove something only to find everything was defrosted. Fridge area also warm, but seemed like it was cooler than freezer side. Is this a...

you dont say how old the unit is or the make,if i assume its an old one i would buy new cos its cheaper to run, make sure its able to run in you garage temperature as most new units will only operate at +10C to +35C and you will need to be able to have one that runs at cooler temp during winter.(depending where you live).i bought mine from a garage sale after checking the rating plate,.paid a quarter of shop price for one that was only 9months old.

My upright freezer sound like its breathing

Call back the technician who installed the compressor.
Normal operation is mid position, not all the way up.

Danby DWC513BLS does not cool. Fan is on, but compressor does not turn on to lower temperature even when temperature is turned down. Where does one get parts for this online

Before you worry about where to get parts, you need to know what is wrong and what parts you will need. When a compressor does not run but the fan motor does, then either the compessor is bad (in which case you need refrigeration expertise) or the starter components have failed ( in which case you can replace. The two most common failed parts are the start relay or the overload (both attached to the compressor. Goodluck, Macgivor

Whirlpool bottom freezer - freezer working but fridge not cold

Hi check to see if the unit has 2 compessors! If so then remove the plug from the mains and remove the thermostat housing in the fridge compartment and join the live and common wires together and switch on! It then should start to freeze down. Just get a new stat if this happens and replace it. Becarefull not to bent the log capilary wire as this has a liquid in it and any kink in the wire will mean you will be buy another one..
Good luck....

Punctured freezer wall in dormer fridge

Usually try not to even answer these questions because anything less than a FixYa drops my rating, so maybe don't bother rating, OK?

Yes, it's a goner. Repair would cost more than a new unit.
