Meyer Snow Plow. When I press right it goes left same if I press left it goes left. Went up when pressed up but won't go down at all.

The switches, solenoids and relays all need testing. Early October was the best time to get it serviced. Take it into your nearest hitch / plow place.

Plow lifts great when cold gets weaker and weaker as it warms up. could it be as simple as the fluid is to thin?

  • Oil viscosity is dropping as oil warms up. Check that plow stays in up position. If plow creeps down than a leak by the piston seal or manifold valve is likely.
  • Check for contamination in tank. Suspect pump has worn and is loosing pump efficiency. Metal particles in tank are an indication pump is failing.
  • There may be a repair kit available. Make sure that system is completely clean.
  • Only use pump manufactures recommended fluid.
  • Install a pressure gauge on pump.
  • There is a pressure relief valve in the system. Ck if contamination is holding it open or spring/valve seal is bad.

Where can I purchase the Moose MPi712a keypad?

Based on the copyright date on the cut sheet (1995), I would say your only chance is ebay or some other similar site. As far as I know, Moose has been out of business for years. http://acs.lock.hk/files/MPI-712a.pdf MOOSE MPI 712A KEYPAD CONTROL STATION

Headlights are too low. When plow is up, can't see.Do they make risers?

The weight of the plow in the up position pulls down the front of the vehicle making the headlights too low. Level Ride air shocks are likely the only solution to this problem as any headlight adjustment will put the beams too high with the plow in the down position.

I think you have a problem with the plow motor grounding out. when you raise or turn plow in either direction you have to run the plow motor which is grounded out. ( as in hooking the ground and positive together directly ) the plow is on a gravity drop when you let it down by the weight itself and does not require the motor for the plow to operate. It's your plow motor or the positive feed to selonoids.
