Washer did not spin

New machine Crosley Super Capacity Heavy Duty Washer Model CAWS9234VQO, had three small loads, set on medium water level and when I opened machine after it had finished cycle the clothes still had too much water in them. Don't think the washer had gone through the spin cycle. This is the first time I have used this machine. New purchase. My dealer told me that Whirlpool made this washer for Crosley, but I didn't find this model available under the Whirlpool web sight.

Water will not drain from the drum. I believe the pump may be blocked. However, I am not sure how to access the pump.

JERRY,
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT TAKEN ON THIS WASHER. A NEW WASHER NORMALY WORKS, BUT IN SOME INSTANCES, LIKE YOUR CASE, IT COULD BE THE BELT OR THE MOTOR COUPLING. WHAT I WOULD DO IS CALL THE PLACE WHERE YOU GOT YOUR WASHER FROM AND HAVE THEM TO BRING YOU A NEW REPLACEMENT. THERE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINTS ABOUT WASHING MACHINES NOT WORKING RIGHT WHEN THEY WERE NEW. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU AND ANYBODY ELSE WHO READS THIS WEBSIT, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SENSE IN THE STORE SELLING A BRAND NEW WASHER WHEN IT ALREADY LEAKS.

Load size dial on washer spins freely instead of moving to setting

That setting has to do with how much water is let into the drum. You can get a new switch for that. If you post the model number.

Frigidaire washer

hi mom,

could it be that these newer models now a days uses less water to wash clothes?

that is what they are boasting about.

energy efficient washing machines..less water more cleaning. ( at least that's what they say) specially on front loading types. not like the top loading where it uses a lot of water.

please check your owner's manual, it may be stated in there regarding water level of the new washer.

tnx 4 using fixya,
