My condensor fan is not running. I looked in the

My condensor fan is not running. I looked in the back and it's dead. It spins freely if I spin it myself then it stops. I traced the problem of my door getting extremely hot to the condenser fan not running. If the fan is Ok and it's not running then what could it be?

Hi, Check voltage to the fan. The fan will only run when the compressor is running. If you have voltage to the fan whilr the compressor is running, replace the fan.
I hope this helps. If I can assist you further, please let me know.

Thanks
Vic

Yes unplug the fan and you will need a voltage meter to test it.

Dose anyone have a owners manual for a true refidgerator GDM-12

The fan your referring to is the condensor fan. it should not be tight to turn. it should spin freely. if it is hard to turn, its probably stuck, which is why its not spinning. Remove grill, slide the nottom portiom out so you have access to fan, remove fan blade, and spraylubricant on fan motor (around the area that the screw that held blade). Remove hair, dirt, string, or anything else that might be prevrnting fan from spinning. sometimes its easier to burn it off. If fan still doesnt spin you may have to replace fan motor.r

How soon after replacing the condensor fan, is it supposed to kick on?

Condensor fan should start when the compressor starts. If the condensor is hot at top and bottom, turn the refrig off and check the fan for power, should spin freely by finger, and coast to a stop.
Good Luck,

It hit the temperature rises to over half

How far over half? The idea that 220 is overheating is wrong. But I don't think your gauge shows numbers if I recall.
Check your engine driven cooling fan. Look at the fan clutch front and back. Is it moist and dirty? Oil from the inside may have leaked out. With the engine off of course, spin the fan by hand. Does it spin real freely and continue for a second or two or more after you let go. The clutch may be bad. What can happen then is the motor will spin faster than the fan and at time the fan will barely move and that would not draw air through the radiator cooling fins.
Also make sure the radiator and condensor are free from debris (leaves, dirt, birds, cats, etc.)

When i turn the A/C on, the temperature begins to rise and it begins to spill the antifrezze from the radiator reservoir. Dont know what the problem is.

You evidently have a problemwith your engine cooling system. Check to make sure that the cooling fins on your A/C Condensor and Radiator are not clogged up with dirt and debris. Check that your mechanical fan clutch has some resistance to pushing it by hand. If it spins too freely. the fan clutch could be worn out. Check to see how much air it is actually moving through the radiator. When the engine is at operating temperature and the A/C is on, This fan should be turning at a very high speed and blowing HOT wind in your engine compartment. I believe that your vehicle is also equipped with an electric cooling fan. The electric cooling fan should be running any time the A/C compressor is engaged. If not, then you must diagnose this failure.

Hotpoint hss25gfph ww evaporater fan is not running. something was clicking yesterday. fan spins freely when you turn it by hand. just replaced the condensor fan yesterday. it was locked up. fridge and...

You need to replace the main control board . One of the resistors , are burnt , keeping the DC voltage , from reaching the fan . Check to see if the fan will run off a little 9 volt battery . If so , replace the board . Pt # WR55X10656 . The board cannot be repaired ( with this problem ) and has to be replaced .

Have a Ruud Achiever Model number UAKA-037JAZ that won't run since yesterday. When the air kicks on it simply makes a buzzing noise and the fan doesn't spin. Can anyone help?

try spinning by hand when the unit make the buzzing sound. to see if the capacitor is bad. If the fan runs replace the cap. If not motor probably is bad. See if it spins freely. this is a good starting place. need to check if the buzzing is the contactor and there is no power to the condensor. The contactor will buzz even though the main breaker is off or tripped

The inside is fine the outside fan does not spin yet spins freely with the screwdriver trick

Most likely the condensor fan has gone bad. But it can be bad wiring, this fan should run any time the compressor is on. Pull your electricl cut off. (Turn off the electricity) open the control panel look for the area above where the hard pipes come into the mach. look for any burt / loose wiring. If the compressor comes on most os the time the fan motor is bad. When / if you replace the motor do get a new cap to go with it change them together.

My condensor motor does not work

Shut the power off to the unit, then spin the fan blade to see if it spins freely, if it doesn't spin freely the bearings are bad, if it does spin freely then check the capacitor, if capacitor if ok, turn power on to see if the motor is getting the proper voltage, if it is the motor's bad and needs replaced.
