The in use memory light is constantly blinking and there is a continuous clicking sound in sync with the light. The MP530 will not send or receive a fax. I have replaced all the ink cartridges.

My computer doesn't send signal

Whenyou plug in the power cord is there any lights whatsoever on the laptop, wherethe plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of the power cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the computer is trying to boot or may have booted, but the screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problemis with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and takenote of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short).

Maybe you have a Static ChargeBuildup. Remove the Power Cord, then Press and Hold the power button for30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in and hit thepower button to see if it boots. Maybeyour memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.Removethe Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of the memory chips. Set thechip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you knowthe memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and tryrebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put theother chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just toverify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the openmemory chip slot and try booting.

Power light is blinking

Count the blinks and the pattern of the blinks (3 long blinks, 1 long blink followed by 2 short blinks, etc.).

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the screw and cover that houses the memory and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.Does anything post to the screen at all when you press the Power Button? Maybe your video card is bad.

Ethernet light blinks continuously on my bigpond wireless. Does that mean there is a problem?

A constant blinking Ethernet activity light indicates that the computer is transmitting and/or receiving information from the internet or other network devices. It's nothing to worry about. The light may be constant only when we are setting up the modem.

Shrey

No connectivity; constant blinking LED lights "Receive" and "Send"

Or you didn't pay your subscription on time and the ISP disabled your cable modem to send user traffic over the cable network. When both Send and Receive lights are blinking that is a visual aid that the modem is working fine, but the ISP disabled its access to the network (unpaid bill, legal issues, etc.)

Blinking lights after battery replacement

Solution: The remote key entry system is waiting for you to push the "Unlock" button on your keyfob to sync up the car's receiver and the keyfob's transmitter. Just push the keyfob button and the lights will stop blinking.

Need drivers for Canon MP530 on Kubuntu I have an alarm light on and the in use/memory light keeps flashing. Also I hear a clicking noise constantly

The clicking noise is because your telephone line cord (from the wall) should be plugged into the "L:" port on the machine -- not the port with the icon of a phone next to it.

If you're not using a telephone cord, make sure your USB cord is not plugged into the telephone jack on the machine (it has been known to happen).

Don't know of any sources for Linux drivers.
