How do I shorten strap on my Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch?
Take a look at the watch from the side where the band attaches to the buckle. You should see four holes with one of them having a visible pin in it where the band is connected to the buckle. Moving the band to the right will shorten it moving it to the left will make it bigger. To move it simply get something that you can push the pin in with like a paper clip. Push the pin in and the band should come out move it to the left and push the in again and simply move the band into proper position. Once you do that the pin will snap back into place. If that does not adjust it enough go to your local watch store and they can remove links from the bracelet for you. Shouldn't cost you more than $10.

Tags have a screw down crown (winder knob) turn the knob counter clock-wise until you feel the crown unscrew (not off) then pull the crown carfully. It will pop once this is for date adjust. Then pull once more and you can now adjust the hands, set accordingly then push crown back in. After you push it back in gently compress the crown and tighten clockwise until it stops. CAUTION!!!!!!! Tags are not waterproof if the crown is not screwed back down. I hope this helps I am actually a car guy (just happen to own a couple)

If you go to http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/tag-heuer-formula-1/men/quartz-chronograph/index.lbl?w=CAH1110.BA0850 , you will see a menu on the right of the screen.
Clcik on "user manual" to download the manual for your watch.
There are no instructions about setting the date apart from saying the date changes at midnight but you can advance the date by winding it past midnight. If you want to advance it more than one day, wind it back and then forward past midnight again. Repeat as many times as required until you reach the date you need.
How far back you need to wind the watch you will have to find by eaperimenting and observing when the date changes. You might hear a soft "click" when winding it backward, you can the wind it forward again.
