HI,
you haven't mentioned clearly is the laptop in on state or are the batteries able to give power to laptop to start

try this solution if you have checked that the Ac Adapter is finr

take out the battery from the laptop and then plugin the AC adapter and then try to start your laptop

if your laptop starts without the battery by getting power through the Ac adapter, most likely your battery is Bad, get it replaced, if it doesn't start then it can be power circuit on the motherboard or the connectors you should get it checked from a technician.

If you think my solution was helpfull please do rate me

My ipad wont charge or come on

it has to be on for your pc to read it,

you need to charge it but sounds like your ac adapter is dead or the charging port on the side of the ipad itself

plug in the adapter then move the cord around to see if theres a break in the wire inside the cord, and move the plug up and down where it connects to the ipad (push it in and out and side to side)

if that dosen't work take it to the apple store and they'll check both for free

My lap top will not power up when plugged in also tried a new cord....then sometime it will not turn on with battery..when it does start i can plug it in and green light now shows power and battery is...

This can be a battery problem, or usually the power connector. I would suspect its the connector. Try moving or wiggling the power cable connector. It should be stiff and not move. If it moves a bit then you may find a spot where it will make a proper connection again and your battery will charge properlly.

If you have warrenty this may be covered. The fix involves soldering a new connector onto the board. The connector is worth about $2 but the labour can be $100 plus.

This happens on all laptop brands and can be just from normal use.

I've had my Compaq Presario R4000 for quite a few years. It still runs great. I've only had one major problem, and it's quite annoying; it has gotten worse recently. First, my computer has the habit of...

Your power problem can be fixes. The fault is either the power connector on the laptop or the power plug which plugs into the laptop. If the power plug is faulty this can be fixed by replacing the plug and soldering it to the leads. (most likely there is a broken wire to the plug) You can check the power adapter plug with a multi-meter and observe the voltage reading as you wriggle the power plug, if the voltage fluctuates then the plug is faulty. If the power adapter is OK then the laptop connector is faulty, this can be repaired but requires the laptop to be dismantled to get at the laptop's power connector.

Want hold a charge

get a test light and a schematic. unplug stator plug.start bike ,make sure battery has full charge. test each pin on connector that is attatched to the 3 yellow wires.should light on each pin. if all good check for burn marks around connectors, front & back sides, and on wires. if no power on yellow wires, stator problem. if power, plug connector together, now test for voltage in wires on the voltage regulator side of the connector, to see if the voltage is making it through the connector.if there is power to volt. regulator, test w/ multi meter across battery leads to see if there is charging voltage to battery, approximately 13-15 volts. if only battery voltage(12.2 or less) while bike is running, voltage regulator is no good.if charging good, but bike wont start after prolonged sitting(say overnight) a system amp draw test is needed to see if something is staying powered up while bike is not running, drawing down battery.

My T42 suddenly wont recharge the battery or wrk off mainsadapter

If the Laptop wont work off the power adepter, it also will not charge. The adepter could be bad (even if showing a power light) or the connector on the laptop could be broken. The best test is to take the battery out, attach the power adepter and try to start the computer if it starts, your battery is at fault. If nothing, suspect eh charger first. Be sure the pin on the Laptop power connector isn't bent or broken.

Power issues on HP DV1000

It is possible you have two dud batteries. Recharageable batteries have a limited life, they have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles.
With the battery removed and only the power supply connected and the laptop powered up, when you touch the connector on the laptop and the laptop does not shut down then the laptop connector is OK.

If you can verify your new battery is OK the the fault could be the power supply adapter, if may not produce enought current to run and charge the battery. Try charging the battery overnight by turning off the laptop and leaving on the mains t charge. Borrow a mains adapter and test it on your computer.

You can also check the BIOS setting for power management, ie. hibernate, low power shut down etc.

My laptop will not charge!! the charger works, but it just wont charge my laptop!

most likely either a bad connector on the power cord or you've broken the motherboard connector. check the power cord with a volt meeter. if it comes up fine the i would recommend either contacting the manufacture or taking it to a reputable tech. if you are comfortable with doing it you can take the laptop apart and look at the connector with the laptop apart plug it in (CAREFULL IT COULD KILL YOU) and test the voltage after the connector wit the volt meeter. if it has power then most likely *********** board is dead. if it doesn't have power then you need to repair/replace the power connector.

No power

During moving the power connector which looks like a big telephone plug or a data plug may have been wrenched loose, from the internal connector, inside the plastic plug. Use the power plug from the other phone to test. There is no battery in the phone to charge. If changing the power adapter and plug fixes the problem have you telephone company check the connector or go to radio shack and buy a plug and a cheap tool to replace the plug.
