Here is what the F06 code stands for
Drive Motor Tachometer Error
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down.
If a failure occurs during high-speed spin the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.
Potential Causes
• Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the
Motor ControlUnit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit
(CCU)
• Check the Drive Motor
• Check the MCU
• Check the Wire Harness

SOURCE: i get an f06 and

F6 code is an issue with the motor drive tachometer.

Most often this is caused by poor connections at the machine control or motor controller. Locate the main machine control by removing the top panel and the motor control by removing the rear panel. Remove each connector, one at time, and reinstall. If this does not work, you likely have a faulty control.

E1 means that the thermistor is open and needs to be replaced. The connections can be loose but the most likely cause of an E1 error is a bad thermistor.

If you're comfortable and confident in your do-it-yourself skills and have access to a volt/ohm meter you can check and replace this part yourself.

For replacement parts - head on over to SearsPartsDirect.com - PartSelect.com - or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.

Hope helps.

What is causing error codes F06 E01?

This error message means an electronic communications problem. Press pause/cancel twice to cancel the error and then disconnect the power cord from the outlet, wait few minutes, plug the power cord back in and select a new wash cycle.

If you see the same error again then you need to check the connections located between the drive motor and motor control unit.

Maytag Maxima front load washer "master reset"?

To start, E01 and F06 means that your main central control board (CCU) and the motor control board (MCU) are not communicating with one another properly. The motor control board is located under the tub mounted to the floor of the washer. The CCU is mounted under the top panel of the washer and is the part with about 100 wires going into it. You'll want to remove the top panel and the lower front panel to check the wire connections and make sure they are all secure. If everything looks good, then you just have to somewhat guess which control board you want to replace first, either the MCU or the CCU. The problem is that there is no way to test and determine which part is faulty so it's just a guessing game. That's what makes this one of the worst errors to get. I generally replace the CCU first as that is the part that shakes around a lot more during spin and it's the first place that the power goes from the power cord if there is any fluctuation in power, so it makes since that this part fails more than the mcu.
There is no Master reset. The only thing you can do is unplug for 1 minute then plug back in.

I have a whirlpool duet steam and reads codes F06 E 02 and replaced the electric controller and now reads F06 E01

OK your almost there. The switch or Latch that locks the door is faulty or bad. It is either that or probably not connected to the right terminal. New control board!!! That was expensive! Good luck!
