50v500 hitachi my television has blue tint at corners of television

This is an issue with the light engine in your TV. My 50V500 does the exact some thing. Someone has posted a solution here:

Do you have speakers anywhere near your television? The magnets in speakers if they are too close to your television can cause this problem! Move your speakers away from the television and within a week or two it should fix itself!!

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem.Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together.When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, yellowish tint,pixilation even vertical lines.You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

Contact a licensed, qualified tech, and go from there... Hitachi, based on the test parameters will likely replace the LE free of charge (PARTS & SHIPPING ONLY)... You'll have to pay the tech - but you're basically getting a brand new Tv inside..
