Your dryer has an overtemp safety. Called a high limit, it has 2 wires connected to it, and usually is held in place by 1 screw. There will be a couple of them, the one closest to the element will be the bad one. It looks like a suppository, you'll see if you open up the unit yourself. DISCONNECT ALL POWER BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY ELECTRICAL REPAIRS!!!!!!!!!!

with no light it tells me you have lost L1 check your outlet, and your wire connections

it does sound like a bad motor.
they are rather expensive on that machine,
you would be looking at 300 or so

Your drive motor may be fine. Check the water pump that is located in the back behind the small metal door on the left bottom corner and see if thats where your noise/water is coming from. These extraction pumps have bearings casing that gets mangled and locked up. Look right above the flywheel that the belt rides on in the W-pump.

I presume she pushed the start button again. Can you hear the motor running? If so, it's a broken belt. The door switch can fail anytime. If the dryer started ok later, the motor was overheated. Lighter loads will avoid a lot of problems, and the dryer will probably work better.

hi thanks for the question i would check the power coming into the dryer a fuse couldbave blown

you may have leaned on lid and damaged the lid switch , so the washer thinks the lid is open all the time unit will fill then stop with lid up.

change the copasitator this tells the machine to engage the motor
