Multiple copies of songs on sansa e250. Unable to delete them.

I have several songs that when I go to the song list on the mp3 it shows 4 or more copies of each song. I connected my mp3 to the computer and deleted the extra copies of the songs, however, they still show up on the mp3. There is no delete songs option anywhere on my mp3 menu. How do I delete those extra copies????

Cannot delete the songs on mp3

I do mine through Windows Media Player
1)Plug in Sansa
2)Open up Windows Media Player and wait for the Sansa e250 icon to show up under the library. First time, might say 'What device is this' or 'Autoplay'-for autoplay, you click 'sync media files to Sansa e250 using WIndows Media Player'
3)When library shows, click 'Sync' if it is not already there.
4)Just simply click and drag the songs you want from the computer library to the list pane on the side.
5)Once your done, click 'Sart sync'

TO DELETE
1)Plug in
2)Wait for the icon under Library in WIndows Media Player
3)Go to Songs under Sansa e250
4)Right click desired songs and choose Delete. You only want to delete from Sansa e250-nothing else

To delete files using the MSC mode, please follow these steps:
1. Open "My Computer" and Open the "Removable Disk" that pertains to the player.
2. Open the folder where you copied the songs, if applicable, and locate the songs that you want to delete.
3. Highlight the songs, press the "Delete" key and click "OK".
Using the MSC mode, you may also delete every file that you have put in the Sansa by formatting it. To format your Sansa, please follow these steps:
1. Open "My Computer" and right click on the "Removable Drive" that pertains to your Sansa.
2. On the drop down list that appears, choose "Format".
3. On the "File System" drop down list, select "FAT" if your Sansa is less than 2GB. Otherwise, select FAT32.
4. Click "Start".

How to upload songs into Sansa E250

Th device may be too full. You need at least 6MB for each GB of music on the device to create the "database" or GUI. Delete a few song, restart the device. Best of Luck.

Deleting songs

Chances are that you are using windows xp. open up your sansa folder to where it says pictuer, movies, ect. look at the picture to see what to do. In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. The music folder would now show up where the videos and pictures are. Simply open the music folder and delete the ones you do not want. By default the songs are sorted by artist --> album --> song.
