I have a 50" RCA DLP HDTV and the screen is flashing. The tv screen flashes like a strobe light. The flashes are square in shape that starts in the center of the screen and then goes outward and repeats continuously. I'm still getting the picture and sound but the flashes are on continuously when the tv is on
Sounds like it could be the power supply. Try changing the brightness of the screen and changing picture modes like movie or standard. If this causes the flashing to change in severity, it will most likely be the power supply board
Testimonial: "Brandon L, I changed the brightness of the screen and picture modes but the flashing did not change in severity; the flashing was the same."

if its a dlp its most likely the color wheel that is causing the problem. Post your model number and i will assist you. Please respond to this same post.

It is in the top half of the set. You will have to remove the top back cover to clean it.
