The power shut off because it has been a power surge - the voltage on the line grew very high for a fraction of a second. When that happened the protection system at the power station that powers your house disconected the mains, shutting everything down. Unfortunately it hasn't acted fast enough and the power source of the tv has been fried by the surge. To fix that you will have to dismantle the tv and replace the power source with an original one. If you don't know ho to do it then the only thing left for you to do is to take the tv to a certified repair shop. It will be expensive, so be prepared .
Try unplugging it for a minute and then plugging it back in, it might just need a "reboot" in the internal components. Does it make any noises? Is it a tube, lcd, dlp, or plasma?
Do you still have this TV?Sounds to me like a bad capacitor,or two.I just got done fixing an Akai LCT2660 that had four bad capacitors on the power board.Works perfect now.Hope this helps.Thank You very much!
Do you still have this TV?What does it do?Not power on?Power on,and then off again? You shouldn't have to replace the whole board, unless either it is beyond repair,or you don't have one to start with.I just got done fixing an Akai LCT2660 that had four bad capacitors on the power board.Works perfect now.Hope this helps.Thank You very much!
