Comp frozen.will not connect to windows 7..error while initializing the NIC

PXE ROM boot is a network boot that kicks in when all else fails. If you have or can borrow a Win7 boot disk, watch the screen closely when powering on the computer and it will tell you which key or keys to press to force a boot from the the cd/dvd rom. If you can boot from the optical drive , it may give you the option to repair Windows. READ THE SCREENS CAREFULLY AND CHOOSE WISELY - if you do not you can overwrite windows and ALL of your personal data. IF you have a hard disk failure, windows should tell you so...

I have an Optiplex GX 620 Mini Tower that displays a NIC failure error at boot. The error message reads "NIC failure. Press F1 to reboot or F2 to go in to setup." The PC did not boots

it means your hard disk is not detected by system, check all connections of hard disk, if problem remains check with another working hard disk

My computer keeps trying to boot from another source

You would have to go into your BIOS by hitting the F2 key as it is turning on. Then go in, and under Advance settings, make sure that the only place that it boots from is the Hard Drive. Make that the primary.

If it still has an error coming up, then it might be a file system issue with the OS.

XP won't boot without IBM 10/100 EtherJet NIC

Check the BIOS to make sure the machine is not trying to boot off of the network card (PXE boot) and make the hdd in question the primary boot device.
