Broken ceramic diffusers below grill

Things aren't looking good. Not available from Cuisinart as you know. My top choices are:

Several previous thread here showed problems getting these as early as 2011

Then you are stuck with it, either that or you search for a replacement receptacle online & then take it back

Replacement parts for the Wolgang Puck grills are difficult to find and I just received an e-mail back from an earlier inquiry to the the company advising that parts are available here:

I am trying to find where I can buy a replacement for the electrical thermostat that controls the temperature to the unit. The one that goes with my unit has broken. Can anyone help me?

If it doesnt fit your specs. then i would suggest u find a thermador parts place and begin to buy the parts for the griddle as replacement parts. find a model of the stove set up that you want and make a list of all the parts that go to the griddle attachment.

My guess is that the reason for the flat "No" on the retrofit was that griddles require a thermostat similar to the one on the oven and broilers do not. So if their is no room behind the face plate where the knob would go then you can't put in a griddle. The other issue might be that the burners for the griddle wont line up with the brackets that are holding up all the broiler burners now. The griddle burner looks exactly like the one from the over only smaller so it has to line up strait where a regular front and back burner have to line up offset. maybe since you have the broiler already that should not be an issue? Then the problem is finding the griddle top it self that is going to be spendy. I think the link i gave at the top is your best bet. good luck.

I don't believe that retail stores carry replacement parts for these portable grills. You might be able to get them directly from the manufacturer, but you will probably have to replace the grill if the ceramic plate is broken.

This happened to my DCS when the Hot Wire Relay went out. It isn't an expensive part, but finding someone that knows what needs to be replaced, and then can replace it is hard. My oven also did the opposite and continued to heat without shutting off, and it was once again the hot wire relay.
