Our tv goes on fine, pic and sound just as good as always...but a little while later the receptor light lower right hand, which is green when on, starts blinking, we lose pic, the sound is fine....then when we tap the receptor light the pic comes on for some time before it happens again...though it has been happening more times than not.
This television is having problem with intermittent tuner reception.The tuner is the signal processor for the television. The video section is intermittent. This could be a simple matter of cold solder joints that can occur over time due to heat expansion and contraction.This causes the metal in solder to expand and then when the television cools down, the metal that is expanded cannot contract.The solder joints then becomes intermittent. All televisions suffer from this problem.Since you are able to still able to receive the video signal, there appears to be no component damage. Call them first to make sure they will help you and tell you how you can get the television serviced This may not be the only problem you are having with the television.
