What kind of receiver did you get? DirecTV, Dish, or something else? This remote comes with software and cables you can connect to your computer. Once you install it, and connect the device, you can program it to connect with your specific electronic components. You may need your existing/original remotes to help get everything set up, but usually that is a one-time process.
Your instruction manual will list all of the codes to program your remote for different tv's. Failing that you can check your manufacturers website for the same information.
I am an AV dealer in NJ and we always use remotes my universial master and they solve the problem 95% of the time. My favorite to use is the MX-850 because it's PC programmable and has most all the codes. You can also program macros which life easier. www.universalremote.com is the site to check out.. we sell those too.. Sometimes e-bay has them soooo cheap I can't match.. Good luck
I'm not sure of your model number but those remotes use the NEC codes and the variants on the NEC codes. If that code set is not the databse, you may have to "learn" it on your particular remote.
IN THE GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE TYPE VIVITEK V37835 MANUAL. ONCE YOU GET THE MANUAL LOOK IN THE SECTION OF THE MANUAL THAT SAYS SETUP CODES FOR SATTELITE RECEIVERS. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROGRAMMING UR REMOTE. ALSO WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE DISH SATTELITE AND I USE MY VIVITEK REMOTE NOT THE SATTELITE REMOTE FOR MY PROGRAMMING. MAYBE TRY THIS. IT WORKS FOR ME.
