Why air compressor model: MH75 intercooler leaked with dirty oil?
Please state also what is the causes, recommended and effect if not change anything.
With out more info I can only pass along what I typically see while in the field. Inner coolers experience a lot of high temps and varying pressures. After a while of expansion and contraction they sometimes fail. This is true for both rotary screw and piston type compressors. As for the dirty oil all oil lubricated compressors pass some oil. this oil plates out in the system. This plating / residue can be linked to the oil used. compressor oil is formulated so their is less carbon and residue built up while lets say oil for your car is formulated differently. I know from experience some auto type oils build carbon badly if used in a compressor. their are several causes but mainly poor maintenance ,this causes more wear and the compressor passes more oil. even small things like leaks that allow unfiltered air into the compressor will cause the oil to become contaminated thus the dirt in the oil plates out in the system as oil is passed and carries over. the dirty oil you see coming out from the leak is contamination that has plated out in the system. what damage is done is done. At this point in time my recommendation would be use a good compressor type oil, do good maintenance, change oil and filters at the specified schedule more often if in a dirty environment and repair/replace the inner cooler. Now if you want to go further you can disassemble and clean parts, coolers etc. You can also purchase cleaners for some compressor that will remove build up that has plated out in the system. However please be careful and make sure the cleaner is compatible with your compressor. If not it may damage seals ,gaskets, o rings etc. hope this helps you.
