what ohm ? i have no idea on anything about speakers or amp. I just want a clear sound which I got two front speaker and rear speaker already. As for as the sub 2 12" L7 Kickers. I just need bass back there but not too too much bass where I cant hear the lyrics. The kickers I think they are 1000 Watts each. Some people suggest to me that I might need a kicker amp to go with kicker speakers and the RMS is important then the watts. They said I need a speaker around 1000 watts. I am thinking about 2 channels amp. I need help. confuse

I asked the audio installer guy and he said that since my 2 12" kicker
solo baric is a dual coil or something like that. I need a 1 Ohm amp
with atleast 800 RMS. Other wise if i use both my Rockford Fosgate 900
watts each camp I could blow out my amp when is hot. Is that true ? he
suggest that I get MTX since he said something about Kicker don't make
1 ohm amp. Anyone got any other suggestion on what amp is to use or
    something similiar.

    Thanks all

You should use an amp with approx half the power of the speakers max output (i.e 1000 watt speaker use no more than 600 watt amp)

Best way to hook up a 15" solo baric L7 to a2400w cx 1200.1 kicker amp

The CX1200.1 amp is 2 ohm stable. Hopefully, you have the 4 ohm DVC version of the Solo-Baric L7. If so, connect the DVCs in parallel (both positives together, both negatives together) to the amp. This will maximize the output power of the amp. If you have the 2 ohm DVC version of the Solo-Baric L7, the best you can do is connect the DVCs in series to the amp. This will cut the output power in half, though.

I have 2 12

To be on the safe side without further information I would hook the two subs up in series leaving you with an 8 ohm load.

I have 2 15 inch L5 solo baric subs and need a amp?

the 15" l5 is rated at 750 watts rms so i suggest you get an amp with atleast that much power because if you get a amp weaker than that you run the risk of clipping your subs and blowing them

What Amp would i need to push three Kicker L7 12's?

Hello,

It depends on the specific subs and exactly what you want out of them. You have practically unlimited choices for amps.

The 10" L7 has a power range of from 30-600 watts RMS, the 12" from 50-750 watts, and the 15" from 100-1000 watts.

So if you have the 10's, you would want an amp that puts out at least 90 watts RMS and not more that 1,800. Unless you are really into SPL and have an unlimited budget, it's probably best to go somewhere in between.

Keep in mind that these Kickers need to be in a proper enclosure. They like a little more volume to work as compared to RF's or MTX's and some others.

How to order

The L7 I have is brand new in the box (not a speaker box just the retail packaging box) and the rms is 750 watts RMS and 1500 watts peak, but you are correct they blow easy when you push rated power to them, the hifonics subs will take 1200 watts rms all day long and over 3500 peak for burping at competitions, i run mine at 2000 watts everyday in a daily driver. if you hook 1 dual 4 ohm sub to a zx1000.1 it will be 2 ohm load on the amp so you will get 1000 watts to the sub so if you want to run it slightly underpowered to keep it from blowing use the 750.1 per sub, i can do those at about 250 each shipped

the price is 150 plus 10$ flat rate USPS shipping and yes I accept paypal [email protected] .

the warranty starts the day you buy it for 12 months but kicker will not cover burned or blown voice coils, that is why i recommended the hifonics (which is what i use to compete with now) because they put out better quality sound and alot more of it and they will take alot of abuse, if you want boxed speakers ready to go in kicker brand ported boxes I can have them drop shipped right to your door as well, the only reason i am selling the 1 L7 i have so cheap is because a customer ordered it then never paid for it so I am selling it at cost. be careful if you are buying on ebay as you have no warranty at all and you cant force the seller to give you 1 even if they say it has 1. because authorized dealers are not allowed to do internet sales at all so kicker and most other companies will not honor the warranties.

also you dont need 2 amps you can use 1 bigger amp and still run 2 subs just by changing how you wire the subs at the amp. 1 large amp costs less than 2 smaller 1's usually just not with kicker brand
