indicates insufficient fuel flow through the tap or filter in the tank
all engines will increase in rpm as the mixture leans out from insufficient fuel in the carby then will shut down from lack of fuel

Clean the carb and all the orifices inside the carb under the bowl. It will probably run after that.

They are generally sealed, as it affects the mixture. You can take the carb off, put on the bench and remove the shut off solenoid at the bottom of the bowl, remove black cap on main jet, remove screw, and unscrew the bowl. To set back up you will need to ideally check on a load bank, for ability to pick up full step load,

They have the ability to shut off when anything is not right.

Either you have a kill wire ( if I remember it is the brown wire) that is disconnected on one end or the other Or your in coach switch is bad.
Check the switch this way

Remove the switch from the dash/ mounting surface unplug the brown wire - start the genset - ground the brown wire - it should kill the motor
If it kills the motor your switch is bad

Probly not. I suspect old, dried up lubricant gumming things up. causes resistance, motors stress out and it shuts off.

You can send it in for repair and Clean/ Lube/ Adjust. or get another on Ebay. Any Minolta Maxxum will use the same lenses.

ARE SURE ITS THE OVERLOAD LIGHT AND NOT THE NOIL ALERT? IF ITS THE OIL ALERT ITS CAUSE YOUR LOW ON OIL OR THE SENSOR INSIDE THE GENERATER IS BAD?

There is so much dryers can tell you, so much they can say. The problem is the start switch, the contact terminals are obviously not touching when the switch is relaxed. Try replacing the switch alone. This should get 'em. :)

I had the same problem with a maxxum 7000. Traced it to a bit of corrosion in the battery pack. It let just enough power through to run the computer, but upon releasing the shutter, it shut off.

You might check that. corrosion can be cleaned with vinegar.
