Hotpoint CTD80 Clothes Dryer. Shows no error codes but high heat not working. Stats seem fine?

Question edited to add Maker.
Question moved to Hotpoint.

Most dryers have 2 elements, one for low, and one for medium. High heat is both elements together. My guess is that your medium element has failed and you are only getting low heat.

Test with a multimeter or call for service.

WERE IS THE RESET BUTTON ON HOTPOINT DRYER CDT 80

Not sure if all dryers have a thermostat reset. You can check your model (which might be CTD80 and not CDT80). Usually it can be reset if there is a small hole in the middle of the device where you can insert a tooth pick and press it.

Location of thermostats is at the back. Make sure the power chord is unplugged from the wall.

Hotpoint dryer (nvl333eyoww) not heating

The thermostat and element are mounted on the back wall of the dryer. To gain access you must remove the drum. Here is my home movie:

Hotpoint dryer will not heat still tumbling but not heating what is the cause

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

My hotpoint ctd 40 wont heat up

Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating:
- house fuse or breaker ( needs two of them ), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse ( not all models ), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug.
A ohm meter test for these parts is here.

Start button trips the electricity

First thing to do is to remove the rear cover, and see if the inside of the cover is damp , and has a build up of fluff. if it has then get a hair dryer and thoroughly dry the element and stats, and remove any fluff that has accumulated in this area.
Try it before you fasten cover back on, if it still will not start, then disconnect the heatr element and stats, to do this, remove top cover and right hand side panel looking at it from the front.
At the left rear corner you will see the wiring going to the heater, unplug the connector and try again ,if it still trips then it could be a motor or control board and or timer prob.
Make sure all filters and vents are clean.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
