Yes, I have undergone the laser hair removal treatment. And no, it does not hurt. It's completely safe and effective process if practiced under the licensed dermatologist or skin care expert. I would recommend Kaya if you're looking to go for it. For more information on laser hair removal treatment provided by them, you can visit the given reference. You would get to know about the initial consultation and treatment.

Laser hair removal is useful for removing unwanted hair from the face, leg, arm, underarm, and other areas. The cost of removing hair from the body can depend on person to person's body hair and it is less painful than waxing. Take a look at Laser Hair Removal Etobicoke service, they provide the best treatment service at an affordable cost. I also use their service for the hair removal treatment.

Prices differs from therapist to therapist. From about R500 and up. It is not painful at all and believe me I have a very low pain tolerance. Find a therapist you are comfortable with. You will occationally feel heat.
Hope this helps.

Laser hair removal costs usually vary from person to person and depend on many factors, including more obvious factors such the amount of hair and the area to be treated, as well as less obvious factors, such as the color and coarseness of the hair and hereditary factors.Prices also vary between centers. It is said that the laser experience is significantly less painful than waxing. The feel of the laser treatments is akin to a light snap from a rubber band. Any redness or bruising should subside within a few days after treatment. Topical anesthesia may also be an option for laser treatment, further reducing any discomfort.

Permanent hair removal

Hi Jay,

Without knowing more, it is hard to give you a fabulous answer, but I can give you a bit of an answer. Firstly, permanent hair removal is possible. It can be done at home or in a dermatologist's office. As you can imagine the later option is quite a bit more expensive than the DIY at home options. Up until recently, laser treatment was only available in an office, but now there are products you can use at home. One such product is the Me Smooth, http://mepower.com, which offers permanent hair removal through intense pulse light and radio frequency technologies. The product has lots of endorsements from Dermatologists and can be used on all skin colors. It is really the best product I have found available on the market. If you want permanent hair removal, you need to give this a look see.

Are depilatory creams a good way of removing hair from my bikini line?

That really depends. I find that depilatory creams are a better option that shaving my bikini line, which leaves the area stubbly and sore but it's not as good as waxing which has a much smoother and longer lasting effect.

Using creams is a good option if you don't have much time. The effects last for about a week, but just be warned that the cream has a really strong and unpleasant smell - so make sure you leave a window open.

Is waxing a good option for hair removal at home?

Waxing is a very effective and not overly expensive way to do your own hair removal at home. It leaves a much smoother skin effect than shaving because it pulls the hair out at the root ie from under the layer of the skin, unlike shaving that just chops the hair at skin level.

My friend said she had laser surgery to cure her snoring. Is there really such a thing? If so I would love to have it done as I know that I snore a lot and really disturb my family at night.

yes there is such a thing as snoring laser surgery. It's called laser-assisted uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (LAUPPP). Unlike the non-laser version of this surgery, it can be done in the outpatients clinic and in theory has less side effects then the non-laser surgery.

A hand held laser is used to shorten the soft palate and remove the uvula.

What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is a procedure by which hair is removed from the body by utilizing a long pulse laser. Lasers are developed and designed from years of research. The laser parameters are carefully defined by studying the anatomy of the hair follicle and precisely matching the laser light and pulse duration to the follicle size, depth and location to inhibit the re-growth of the hair.

Laser hair removal is performed by a specially-trained laser specialist or a doctor depending on where you go, who distributes the light of a long pulse laser onto the skin. The laser works by disabling hairs that are in their active growth cycle at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter their growth cycle at different times, several treatments are necessary to disable all of the follicles in a given area.
