I had same problem. Just stopped worked and blinked E3. I used the troubleshooting wizard on ClassicFlame's website. Shut power off (it's hardwired to 220v) for a couple minutes and it started back up. Never did find out what caused the error.

Classic Flame Electric Fireplace. Where can I get replacement parts for it please?

You will probably have to go shopping in China! Apart from Switches and remotes, there appear to be no parts despite there being a parts list.

ClassicFlame 26" 3D SpectraFire Plus Infrared Insert. I bought a SpectraFire fireplace, do I need a 220 outlet for it?

question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Computers.

It is only 1,500 watts so it uses a standard 110 volts outlet in the USA and Canada.

Model numbers are important in these questions. If you are in the UK or South Africa, it will be 220 volts and reflected in a different model number for those markets.

The E3 error is a Overheat situation blocked vents, fan not spinning, not enough clearance.

Flame stays on after turning off fireplace

If the flame effect in your fireplace continues to stay on after turning it off, it could be due to a malfunctioning control board or a faulty switch. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the remote control: If you have a remote control for your fireplace, make sure that it is turned off and that the batteries are working properly. Sometimes a faulty remote control can cause the flame effect to remain on even when the fireplace is turned off.
  2. Check the switch: If your fireplace has a manual switch, check to see if it is in the off position. If it is not, try turning it off and see if the flame effect turns off.
  3. Check the control board: If the remote control and switch appear to be working correctly, the issue may be with the control board. In this case, it is best to contact a professional for repair or replacement.
  4. Unplug the fireplace: If all else fails, try unplugging the fireplace for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This may reset the controls and resolve the issue.
It's important to note that if your fireplace is gas-powered and the pilot light is still on after turning off the fireplace, you should contact a professional to inspect the unit as this could indicate a gas leak or other safety concern.

I have a Spectrafire Electric Fireplace and am getting an E3 error code. The fireplace turns on but within ten seconds I get that code.

The power to the heater can be disengaged to prevent the heater from being accidentally or unintentionally powered on. This feature is primarily added to help prevent children from powering on the heater when it is not desired. • To engage the heater override function press and hold the HEATER ICON for 10 seconds. The symbol E3 will display and then go blank while beeping 3 times. The heater function is now locked. If the HEATER ICON is pressed again E3 will appear then fade. The Flame, Downlight and Timer functions will operate normally. Only the heater and blower are disengaged. • To unlock the heater function, press and hold the HEATER ICON for 10 seconds. The symbol E3 will display and then go blank while beeping 3 times. The heater function is now engaged.
